The title of this project was inspired by the thought provoking line in the classic children's story "Goodnight Moon" in which the author writes, "Goodnight comb, goodnight brush, goodnight nobody, Goodnight Mush". A deeper look into this troublesome compound could almost describe saying goodbye to all the unstable, fleeting and futile strivings of this life and cause one to ponder the reason for even waking up each morning. As works of art painted on frail multi-colored canvases we may ask, where is the Master Artist and what is His plan for this masterpiece? Goodnight Mush is comprised of two parts. The first is to write music that moves us and hopefully the listener (otherwise, what's the point)? The second and most important is to present a message of hope, renewal, and the reality of a personal relationship with the Master Artist.
