Gods of the Mechanical Breakdown began two years ago when Andy walked into HobarTrax recording studio in Poway, CA (www.hobartrax.com). Fresh from the sanitarium where Andy had spent a good portion of his life, his music metastasized and as each song was recorded, the tumors of his psyche fell benign. With the thunderous beats and Pro Tools technical wizardry of Rick Smith on the drums and dials, Andys dreams began to be realized. Taking about a year and a half to record some 57 songs, Andy decided to recruit other wayward souls to help him carry out his mission and spread the good word to all. Hence the addition of Rhett Innerson whose sultry voice has no other purpose than to spread the good word and Paul Clark whos bass has the ability to sink the dead further through the bowels of the earth. GMBs first album Non Compos Mentis (Latin for unsound mind) is a selection of 10 songs from those 57 and is available at GMBs live performances and by special request.
