Getawaycab was formed in 2002 in Kauhajoki, Finland. Our music has been often compared to early 90's post-emo indie rock bands, but also we've been strongly influenced by some newer rock, college-rock, punkrock... Almost everything that makes a sound.

We released our first demo/ep/whatever-you-like-to-call-it titled 'Sleep Forever' on summer 2004. Shortly after the release of the record, a new guitarist, Iiro Nikkola, joined the band! During 2005 our songs were played on finnish skateboarding program called capturedTV on nelonen and also the new episodes of extreme duudsonit (the dudesons) uses our songs. At the moment we are working for the incoming MCD "dancing with thieves". It'll be out on july 7th. The release is recorded/mixed/produced by Veli-Matti Saloniemi.
