Biography

Chicago/Milwaukee Rapper Gerald Walker is a self-made artist who takes pride in originality and being true to one’s self. Born in Chicago, IL the 23 year-old is not only a true music lover and fan of hip-hop but he’s also an overall philosopher. His music highlights his creativity, his lover for all kinds of music and his hunger to grow both as an artist and as a man.

Having an early appreciation for music and art Walker attended Columbia College in Chicago, one of the largest arts schools in the United States, where he studied graphic design. It was at Columbia that his hunger to make music grew as he was surrounded by musically inclined classmates, professors, friends and other inspirational surroundings.

After several years of schools and sleepless nights of writing hooks with close friends he finally released his debut mixtape, Gerald Walker's Evening out with Your Girlfriend, in September of 2009. The mixtape includes appearances from Matt and Kim, Will.I.Am, Ayọ, and The Arctic Monkeys and highlights Walker's trend of lengthy, hilarious titles and even more ridiculous lyrics with punk rock influences, which he has claimed as his musical signature.

His second mixtape “I Remember When This All Meant Something,” dropped summer of 2010 and has gone on to be one of his biggest musical successes yet. He recently released a Christmas Mixtape titled “A Gerald Walker Christmas” to show appreciation to his fans and the blogs that constantly give his music life.

Gerald plans to continue to grow musically, begin touring and song-writing for other artists as well as a host of other things.
