Someone once wrote that make-up is the art of face,
Well some people are beginning to take this art a little more seriously.
Skills in the worlds of make-up and music, combined with the growing online networking tool MySpace, are the primary ingredients for underground success and even fame. But underground is just how GEOFFREY PARIS wants to keep it.

In an online world of players like Jeffree Star, Christine Forbidden Dolce, and others, GEOFFREY PARIS is a promising winner. The 18 year old Arizona native now calls New York home, although he doesnt see much of it these days. Hes been traveling the U.S. collaborating with other artists, promoting his up and coming album, and of course, finding time to head back home to Tucson to visit friends and family. My dad really misses me, and my sisters are always interested in whats going on with my life Says PARIS of his hectic time balancing work, family, and fun.

In the beginning it was all just [MySpace] fun, says PARIS. But soon he began to take things a step further. Exaggerated makeup techniques, and bizarre imagery have made the young adult a shining star in the underground club scene. He got his start by using the online profiling and networking site MySpace, to showcase his make over pictures and writing skills. He gets daily messages from users that view his pictures asking him to come to their towns and to give make overs. His talents dont stop there however. PARIS is also making ventures into the world of music. His online fans have been anticipating his promising album Bass Check with bated breath. His is very much an electro pop-dance sound, says friend and business partner Dj. CHRISTOFF. PARIS releases his singles using his MySpace Music Profile, which he controls allowing fans to listen, rate, and even download his songs. Dj CHRISTOFF says hes been with PARIS since the beginning. The two met in high school some years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Actually, CHRISTOFF is the one that got me started on this glamour trip, laughs PARIS. We were hanging out one day, and he said, Hey, have you seen this movie [Party Monster]?

They became instant fans of Michael Alig (the notorious Club Kid King and murderer) and his quirky style and crazy antics and even wrote letters addressed to his cell in prison. That period of 80s club kid inspired style didnt last long however. Soon the duo developed their own unique ways and even gathered a small fan base. Accepting every MySpace add, and spreading nothing but glamour, they made their start. Soon, BoySean joined the ranks, and thus started the trio, The Beauty Brigade or The Next Generation Geishas as some would call them. I love these boys, and no one can compete with that, says Sean. The three have even planted seeds for their latest project, Acitone, a makeup, gift, and fashion line with products bound to live up to their outrageous names. We are all just so busy at this point... But when we get the chance to really sit down and start this thing, Acitone products will start be being sold on Myspace, says PARIS.

All this promise, but is there any substance? Ask the 300 people that showed up at their street party in Tucson, Arizona. Thats quite the crowd in Tucson, whose professional nightclubs attract as many people. The kids just showed up and everyone looked so amazing, we had to show it off, says PARIS fondly. The three gave performances at teen hot spots like The Boardwalk Underground and even do shows for raising awareness for the GLBTQQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-gendered, Queer, and Questioning) Community. As a friend of the three on MySpace, you can receive bulletins and event invitations with information on how to get to the show, how much it costs, and sometimes the theme of the party. The three are self proclaimed celebrities and the masses dont seem to disagree.

But fame does come at a price. The drama in the pseudo celebrity world is just as real as drama in a high school setting. Back stabbing and gossip between users has sparked a feud between our GEOFFREY PARIS, and Jeffree Star. Star resides in Hollywood and has a similar vibe and fan base. A lot of people compare us, says PARIS. I definitely recognize his talents, but Im very much my own person with my own skills, everyone is. Skills he says began developing at a young age when his sister would let him do her makeup. Im just really excited that the things Ive always loved to do can actually be an opportunity for me to make a living. PARIS, Sean, and CHRISTOFF are rumored to be working freelance for makeup companies, not ready to sign over their talents just yet. Were definitely mature enough to have come this far, but were too young to make any long term commitments right now, Says BoySean.

And the taboo subject of going main-stream doesnt sound to appealing either, at least not yet. The idea of this whole subculture, a world that mirrors, but is independent from the mainstream pop scene, is totally appealing, says PARIS. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it. Itd be nice someday to see our faces on television, though, Says CHRISTOFF fondly. And Id be willing to bet that it wont be long.
