GENESIS

Progressive / Rock / Pop

This website is NOT run by the band. It was made by a loyal Genesis fan who just wants to spread their popularity through PureVolume! Hope you enjoy!

One of the most influential prog-rock band of the 20th century, Genesis had a long industrious career which started in the 1960s at Charterhouse College in England, and ended with monumental success in the late 1990s. During their 30+ year history, they created a very unique and diverse sound, from the progressive epics with renowned singer Peter Gabriel, to the pop/rock hits with icon Phil Collins, and finally ending with hard rock sound with singer Ray Wilson. Keyboardist Tony Banks, bass player Mike Rutherford, and guitarists Anthony Phillips and Steve Hackett also played a key role in developing the band's extremely popular songs which are still part of our world culture today. Throughout its existence, Genesis created great and memorable music which will be shared with countless generations for years to come!
