A songwriters job:
"So we wait until, until the moments real and we deliver them to you..."
I've found that songwriters are just people. Just people illustrating in another light all the things that everybody goes through. When a song or lyric or poem is real, felt, and is squeezed from the soul, the listener, the consumer, the fan, that person comes to feel for you.
Music brings people together.
Influences are endless thus creations are endless.
I've been around music all my life. Marinated in the creation and the passion for it. I've either been blessed or been cursed with it. Blessed by constant melody of music that entagles your ears even in complete silence. Although sometimes feeling as curse.
Depends on how much you enjoy silence.
I enjoy delicateness. Almost as quiet as it is heard in my head. Keep people on edge for sound they're interested in, and sound that i'm just interested in getting out.
Orignially I wrote music about what I know. When i was real young, 4 or 5, i had a little K-Mart keyboard and a tape recorder and i would record songs about hanging out with my friends. It's actually pretty halarious/embarrasing. But what i got from it was that, no matter how primitive the material was, i do the same thing now. I wrote what i felt, why i felt it. All the first to grasp material.
And as time goes on and you grow and recognize the world and at the same time, don't recognize, i wrote about that. Mixed with all the frustrated, happy, sad, hopefull, settled, all those normal vibes.
And as time goes on and changes, as music changes, as people change, as everything changes the way it has since the beginning of time, i'll sit back, watch it, feel it, experience it, and in the middle of all that, write it. Illustrate it. Cause everyone feels it, i just feel the need to arrange it.
I play guitar, piano, bass, and drums. Well drums, thats argueable.
All the music that comes up on this little site is Written, Produced, Performed and recorded by myself. If there ever are any other credits to be given, i'll give it. Most of these songs aren't full production because of the fact that i don't have all the tools i need. But, no complaining.
I write in spurs, give myself time to just play and sing and whatever i sing i write down. Sometimes i feel the need to just write. Sometimes i feel the need to just play. But all in all, no force. I feel if anytime i felt forced or artificially influenced to write, i'll just toss it out. "Let's keep it natural."
