Its the music that moves from a Satriani-esque sound through Latin grooves reminiscent of Carlos Santana to a very classic rock sound verging on blues that puts you in mind of B.B. King. Garett Spencley is self-described as a vocalist who can't sing and picked up the guitar to find his voice.

From the aptly named ballad Celestial Serenade to an upbeat, and almost ska-ish, Crystal Eyes to the powerful roaring Sonic Elation, Garett Spencley uses his guitar to create melodies that paint a vivid aural picture for the listener.

While some solo guitarists often become repetitive through their own style, Garett Spencley does not restrict himself to any one type of music but instead simply seems to play what he feels without losing the recurring character of his playing. What you end up with is a sound with a distinctive voice that does not repeat itself.

Growing up on Nirvana and Alice in Chains, Garett is never afraid to let these often-unexpected influences collide head on with his idols like Jimi Hendrix and Joe Satriani.

Garett Spencleys songs manage to rock without being obnoxiously loud or losing a sense of melody. A nice break from the current standard of over-produced rock music and another clear sign that independent music is alive and well.
