Gareth J D is a classically trained violinist (from the age of 7) with a strong musical background and education who developed a genuine love for all kinds of dance music during his teens.

After listening to Moby's eclectic "Everything is Wrong" album in the mid nineties, Gareth was hooked on the amazing atmospherics and emotions of techno, jungle, ambient and house and badly wanted to create his own music.

Gareth's sound is very versitile, techno, breaks, ambient, drum & bass, house, chill out....there are no real boundaries, whatever he's feeling and whatever mood he is in is reflected in his music.
It is no real surprise then that his music has been picked up and played from DJs as diverse as Ben Watt to Judge Jules and several club DJs hammering out his more dancefloor friendly bootlegs and re-edits of the likes of "Queen" to "Johnny Hates Jazz" and his now infamous classical sampling electro monster "Midnight Strings".
