The Circuit- The Official Fusebox Newsletter
On the road, I get a lot of questions about the origins of Fusebox. How did the band start? Why are you the only consistent face on the Fusebox album covers? Where do you come up with the name Fusebox? Well, here are the answers to your questions...I became a member of Rebecca St James' band in 2000. I played guitar and sang background vocals for her. Her dad, who is her manager, really believed in me as a singer and songwriter. I signed to his record label, Elevate Records. Fusebox was a concept before it was a band. We liked the name Fusebox because it sounded powerful, like our God. We wanted to do worship music that was edgy and out of the box. Initially, we just used the musicians that were in Rebecca's band at the time. For 3 years, we became Rebecca's opening band and backup band. With each album, the members change but the vision stays the same. We're working on the third Fusebox album now. As we enter this next season, I want to thank Brad Duncan, Steve Conrad, Guy Roberts, Tyler Howell, Justin Mackey, Ben Rodriguez, and John Riffe for making this an amazing 6 years of recording and touring. Your roles in this band have been invaluable and I pray God blessings on all your future endeavors. I also want to welcome Fusebox's newest members, Casey Pollock (who was the touring guitarist for country star Sara Evans for the last 6 years), and Guy Lemon (an amazing drummer who hails from Minneapolis, MN).

Mighty Clouds of Joy
On Voice of the Spirit - The Gospel of the South, which is being released on Dualtone in April 2006, Billy Buchanan plays guitar on the Mighty Clouds of Joy rendition of "We Will Overcome." The album also features amazing performances by Johnny Cash, Mavis Staples and Marty Stuart, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, and many more. The album was produced by John Carter Cash.
Solo Tour Show
Billy Buchanan's solo tour is making a stop at the world renowned Eddie's attic in Atlanta, GA on April 5th. Eddie's Attic helped launch the careers of The Indigo Girls, John Mayer, Ani Difranco, The Black Crowes, and Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), to name a few. If you're in the Atlanta area, definetly put the show on your calendar. It's a must see.
Hope of all the Earth
Ready for a taste of the latest Fusebox album? The final mix of their potential first single, "Hope of all the Earth" has just been completed. The new tune will be posted on Fusebox's MySpace and PureVolume pages. This song was chosen as the theme song for Food for the Hungry's promotional video that will be shown around the world.

THE ISLAND
When I first made the decision to follow Christ, I was so anxious to find a home church and get to know other fellow believers. I quickly joined a local fellowship, got involved on the worship team, and made some really good friends. For the first year or so, things could not have been better. I had finally found that family that I had always been looking for. But then the most unexpected thing happened. I had a big disagreement with one of the guys in our congregation. Honestly, I can't even remember what the falling out was about, but I became so distraught by the whole thing that I just stopped going to church. I decided that I didn't need church. It was just going to be me and God. For a while, everything was great. I would read my Bible and spent time with the Lord. After a while though, I started drifting back into my old ways. Before I knew it, I was off on my own little island, further from the Lord then I had been in a long time. What had happened? When I withdrew myself from the body of Christ, my whole world fell apart. Proverbs 27:17 reads, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We need each other! With all of our quirks and imperfections, God still expects us to stay accountable to one another and to continue to gather together. When we do this, something amazing happens. All the members of Christ's body start working together to fulfill His purposes. There are always going to be those in the church that we don't get along with. That's a fact of life. We still must learn to love one another as the Lord has instructed us.

Thanx for your message about the troops. I have one brother serving in Iraq and another preparing to depart to Afghanistan. I thank God everyday for giving my children and my nieces and nephew two honorable and amazing role models; they love their country and their families enough that they are willing to serve in such a way. God bless you and God bless our troops!

I was very excited to hear that you guys are going to be at the LCMS Rocky Mountain Youth Gathering this summer in Breckenridge. We enjoyed seeing you recently in Arvada, Colorado, and we really enjoyed your music at the LCMS National Youth Gathering in Orlando. It is a great experience for our kids to spend the time with you at the gathering, and learn what you have to teach. We have been to several gatherings, and the smaller district gatherings give the kids a great opportunity to get to know you and your message. I appreciate your taking the time to spend for our kids.
Thanks,
Leon
KEEP SENDING THOSE EMAILS. WE LOVE HEARING FROM YOU!!!
