Always with the intention of transmitting feeling over words and reason, Frozen Hands first originated from a prosaic desire of transpiring every bit of emotion crafted by the many unfortunate and unforeseen facts of life. Without any intention to excel in the art of music, nor any formal education in these matters, it all began with simple but strong melodies that were merely a channel to communicate the message. A message which has always been the key element to Frozen Hands' music, a message of heart, soul, religion, faith, disbelief, love, hate and most of all disheartening.
Dishearten: to cause to lose spirit or morale...
So, without the need of focusing on any individual tale to tell, the message depicted the endless struggle to find reasons when out of reason, the fight that went on deep inside and all around, the faceless and relentless foe.
When others tried to dehumanize themselves in a clear attempt to become monsters capable of facing the great and ominous demons haunting their past; it felt pertinent and necessary to do completely the opposite: to humanize, to stretch the concept to it's most radical expression and become even cleaner and clearer, in order to face the demons in our true form.
The eclectic nature of Frozen Hands' music can only be defined by its determination to find the appropriate channels to deliver the message. Going from subtleties to grandiloquence between songs and verses became a very successful tool to communicate the different moods and states of mind the songs portrayed.
Providing a rich and wide range of musical resources was the inevitable outcome to such immeasurable array of feelings at hand. Simple means to a very distinctive end.
We decided to extend the message to all those who sense theres something familiar and close to them in our words and sounds.
We decided to extend our plea to those who do listen beyond words and sounds and see our intentions for what they are: a mere attempt to state how we feel about our souls and the encrypted purpose that is yet to be discovered behind our every actions.
We decided to extend this, our music, to all those who feel through spiritual elements beyond the intelligible or the cognitive.
We invite you to listen, read and watch what we do in hope that there will be some meaning or significance to you, in any degree once ever, provoked by our humble creations.
