FROM DYING SKIES is a five piece alternative band from Lille, France.
After their formation in June 2007, they immediately recorded their first 6 tracks EP "between the devil and the deep blue sea" at Boss Hog Studio.
Utilizing screams and crushing rhythm in the vein of bands such as Underoath, Bless The Fall, Escape The Fate or The Devil Wears Prada, FROM DYING SKIES combines the power of metal riffs and the sensibility of alternative music incorporating beautiful melodies and catchy chorus's.
Since October 2007, FROM DYING SKIES played all over France, Belgium, Italy, England and Holland and have shared the stage with bands such as Protest The Hero, The Chariot, Horse The Band, Devil Sold His Sould, The Human Abstract, Despised Icon, See You Next Tuesday, The Eyes Of A Traitor, Evita, Hopes Die Last, Campus, Lost Found Broken, A Breach On Heaven and many, many more…
In May 2008, the band has recorded a split EP with their friends from Jarod, you can purchase it on Itunes.
In August 2009, the band entered for the second time in the Boss Hog Studio to record its first full-length. Their debut album called : The Lakeshore will be released on march 1st 2010. Be sure to keep an eye on it!
