The story......so far Staffordshire University was the birth place of Friends of Ken in 1998. Some catchy tunes and a lot of beer later and the 'Ken' were born. They became regulars on the Stoke circuit. Just like the greatest rock and roll band in the world (Spinal Tap) they have had a slight problem with drummers, but have now settled on a line-up that represents everything that is KEN. Over the past five years they have recorded 5 EPs and an album; have played the length of the country headlining some of the best venues in Britain (the Barfly, Dublin Castle) and also supported various bands, from up and coming British punkers Captain Everything and Jesse James, to established acts such as Reel Big Fish. They have gained a reputation as a band to watch out for, with reviews in Kerrang, NME and Melody Maker all praises the virtues of Friends of Ken.
