Here we go...first blog y'all exciting stuff!!
So Ben and I both started playing guitar when we were in 7th (me) and 8th (him) grade. We both took a guitar class from my mom as a mandatory music class at school. Basically Ben and I (and one other) were the only ones who continued to play out of the group of about 18, I think. And over the years we have continued to play and we have gotten better. Then after awhile I got tired of just playing other peoples stuff. I'm pretty sure Ben was too. So Ben and I started to write our own music. Seperatly we continued to write (Ben has his own band. Absolute genius I tell you. You can check out his wonderful music by going to www.myspace.com/staringtowardshorizon.).
I always wanted to be in a band. I tried to form one and that didn't work and it seemed that no one wanted me in thier band. So I just stuck to solo work. I went from strange project name to strange project name (which is what I called it instead of a band name since it was just me). Starting out as Amberwood, then Early Winds and Cadence, then And Now for the Weather Forecast, and finally to the one I like Friday Night Masquerade. I still really wanted to play with someone so...
I then asked my best friend Ben (and also my best friend Caralie to play piano on a future EP) to play music with me. And so we do...and we have now performed a few shows together. Fun stuff yo. Being musicians is awesome.
Till the next blog,
Alex

Agent for the Western US Region of the 2007 Bodog

band would be a great addition to the competition. I
thought your song Where The River Bends was awesome.
