The poetry on their songs are clearly seen as every line of every song had my head thinking and thinking what Freia wants us to ponder. Their passion in music making transcends through their tunes. An Indie/Rock/Experimental band from Taytay, Rizal (Philippines). ~
With a combination of the bright out bursting voice of vocalist Michi Uy, the warm and upbeat grooves rendered by drummer Chris Casi (formerly Parola) and bassist Mico Lirio (formerly Oremuz), and guitarist Jm Belen and Basti Andaya's ambient but technical overtones. While going through various name and member changed, instrumentally the band was slowly evolving and maturing into the melodic outflow of energy they presently are. They just happened to collide to create music that they're passionate about.

Back in 2006, Michi from "Lunula" and her college friends from UE (tonyo, otcho, paulo and magi) decided to formed a band which they named "Falling Suicide", During that time, Zeus was the acting manager. They went through various gigs in the metro with Oremuz and other bands from Taytay, Rizal like White Resemblance, Parola, Heavymeal, Blacktears & etc. But in October on that same year, they parted ways for personal issues.

In July of 2008, Magi and Zeus decided to bring back the band, asking Michi to join the group to continue what they've started. But this time, they changed their name to "FREJA". From the greek methology "Freyja" which means The Goddess of Love, War and Fertility. Deion and MJ came in to fill the missing pieces and they labeled their music as Experimental/Happy Hardcore. November 29, they had their first gig at freedom bar in QC. And from that year, the list of invites increased until they had their first 3-Track Demo CD which includes (Isabel, Magdalene & Celiene).

But for the second time, due to their musical differences and lack of time for the band, Michi decided to changed the lineup of members. They had their last gig together on June 12, 2009. (It's hard on her part but she must do something to keep the band going!).

Starting from scratch! With the help of her husband, Mico Lirio (former member of Oremuz, Parola, Brando Braganza), they started to create a new tune. A new foundation to establish their long time dreams, to perform on stage and to recognize their kind of music which all of us will remember...

July of 2009, Freja arise with its newest members. Chris "Pakis" Casi (former member of Parola, Brando Braganza), Jm "Tahong" Belen (former member of Brando Braganza) and Basti Andaya. They retained the name Freja but they changed its spelling into "FREIA". :)
