Every once in a while, a so-called \\"ska\\" artist comes along who is effortlessly able to incorporate various styles of music into the genre that results in the progressive transition of ska music to yet another level. Frank Liesener is this kind of artist. A controversial protagonist who has been raising the flag for underground music in Germany for some time now, Frank lives and breathes music. Here we have a pioneer in the European ska and punk scenes who not only blends dub and rocksteady with his ska-punk; Frank also spins elements of hip-hop, Latin swing and jazz into his musical repertoire. The fact that God blessed Frank with prolific songwriting abilities certainly doesn\\'t hurt. Frank\\'s band is called the Skunk Allstars, a rotating lineup of veteran musicians and hungry young talent. For close to 10 years, Frank has linked himself with professional and seasoned forces in the music industry. Frank\\'s roster of guest musicians and producers includes Long Beach Dub Allstars, Eddie Ashworth (Sublime, Pennywise) Mad Professor (a.k.a. Neil Fraser), Z-Man (Corn Doggy Dog), and Miles Doughty (Slightly Stoopid). With Frank as the band leader, the musical direction of the Skunk Allstars can take shape. With a background of competitive skateboarding (EuroCup 1989) and Tae-Kwon-Do, Frank is schooled in both punk attitude and eastern philosophy. Combine that with an undeniable pop sensibility when it comes to Frank\\'s approach to songwriting and you have recipe for delicious music. The hooks Frank strategically places throughout his music are his secret weapon. No stranger to melody, Frank\\'s Skunk Allstars is a bubble gum boat full of boisterous sounds and magnetic charisma. It sticks to you and transports your mind to a land of mystical ska rhythms and rocksteady beats; an island oasis where the inhabitants smoke yellow reefer bud and dance late through the night and into the early morning. Horn-accented, guitar-riff-punctuated, ska-core-jazz for the friendly heart and drunken mind. Get the picture yet? \\"Hairball8 Bio\\"
