The name Sobriquet means nicknames, the nicknames representing every band member and his life. As in his inspirations, thoughts, life experiences, and his style of playing in the band. Sobriquet consist of vocalist and lyricist, Doug Wooldridge, two guitarist, Scott DeMotte and Kevin Cook, bassist Keevin Stutheit, and drummer Patrick Fussell. And with a combination of their visions on music they combine to make Sobriquet. Sobriquet is consistently attempting to progress their music and make it speak more to the listeners. Every song has a different feel and meaning behind it, and every song is meant to inspire the thought process in the listener, and open their eyes to the world around them.

We won another Battle of the Bands

Thank you to all who came out to support us we really appreciate it. This is our third battle of the bands win. Look for the album to come out soon on Itunes in around three weeks. We will keep playing and spreading the music. Hopefully we will be able to go on tour here soon. If you would like to see us tell us what city you live in or town and a couple of venue names and we will try to drop in and play an awesome show. Thanks again Sobriquet

Join Us

This album, The Setting Sun, is a concept album and has a deep message behind it speaking out to our generations. We need all the help we can get to spead the message and get people to open their eyes to the world around them. We ask you the reader, or you the fan to take our music with you and the message it has and let other people know of it. We greatly apreciate all the help and support you have given us over these last two years and we strive to bring our music to your town or city. But to do that we must first get recongnized. Done

We have just finished mastering our album The Setting Sun. We will be getting it replicated here in a few days once all the artwork is completed. This alabum is packed with great music, amazing artwork, and an incrediable story line to pull everything back together. This is a concept ablum about a revolutionist who begins to follow his dream. Awake. Rise up lost generations of the earth, and when the dawn comes in the east we will change the world forever!

Sobriquet update

Hey guys,
Once again it has been entirely far too long with out updating this site. For those who still read this, here is whats been going on and about to go down.
For the past months we have trapped ourselves in kevins basement attempting to get some new material for you, the fans. Now we've finally completed a total of ten songs (including the four on this site) and ready for recording. We've talked thoroughly with one Mark Bishop on useing his studio. He has given us so much advise and guidence, it only seems that he could be the one to help us put this whole thing together. We are pushing for a possible release date in late august! If all goes as planned, you should be looking forward to a new cd, news shows and new merchandice. We are also going to try to keep you as updatable as possible through every step of the the way. This is going to be huge so hold on to your _______ (insert noun).

Thanks again to every one who has been there for us.
