FPZ: FREEDOM PEACE ZION, was an upbeat rock-and-roll dance band that sought to promote values and ideals outlined through their collective band name. Through blood, sweat, and tears they forged what is now known as the Brotherhood, and have birthed many new musical projects and endeavours as a result. Unfortunately a sudden break-up of the band occurred in late 2004--during the recording of their widely anticipated follow-up album to "Revolt Against the Silence."

Since the unexpected break-up of the band, the ex-members have been entering into new phases and endeavours in their lives, which are sure to bring many new adventures and tales to rival each of their collective experiences.

Though FREEDOM PEACE ZION is currently dead, their powerful message is not; for it is one that will continue on for all time--forever holding a place in all our hearts and minds. Remember the sounds of change, and reminisce on the days of old--together united in one voice and song: Zion.

Byproducts of the break-up:
Both Joal Kamps and Jon Purschke have gone on to pursue new musical endeavours. Joal has begun work on his solo material "Joal Kamps" as well as several new bands including "Peacemaker" and "The Winston Brothers." Jon has also done some work on his own solo material and has since joined the all-star line-up of local Canadian punk rock heroes "Kiros." As their newest addition to the band, he has been working hard at writing material for their long-overdue record, which comes out Summer 2007--and with Jon allying up with the Kiros team, it'll be sure to impress.
