Foxy Cush Virus
Foxy Cush Virus is no stranger to the world of music. On a seemingly average midsummer's day, with a four track recorder and a pure imagination, these three fresh young men produced their first five albums. The first, with an old 1950 phonograph sound, contains the original instrumental pieces of Hakes and Gochenauer. Dowd was absent for this spanking session, as he was expanding his spiritual life, with the Buddhist monks of Chzeskaslavokia.
The band's front man, and lead singer BJ Dowd, was born in the deep south in the back of a 4x4 pickup truck beside boxes of shotgun shells, swaddled in a confederate flag. At age six Dowd took a personal pilgrimage to Wellsville, PA. where he met what became his best friend, and backup double bassist Matt Gochenauer.
Gochenauer, a city boy at birth, grew to love the fresh air and open fields of the 'ville by the time he was 3 years old. A poor shepherd boy who just wanted to play his guitar and one day fell in love had all his dreams come true when a vagabond crossed his path. They called this vagabond Sam Hakes. Hakes was a ruff and tumble transsexual. Infamous for his provocative drumming techniques and deep throated chants.
Hakes and Gochenauer were just like any other starving, brink-of-stardom band, but were not taken serious. Until Dowd drastically rocked their world with his all original enhanced lyrical genious. Originally, this band went under the name of Smat Sourcrout. This was satisfactory for small time performers but when they went pro they decided the more elegant name of Foxy Cush Virus was needed. The Virus spread throughout the land. All who heard immediately fell in love with their soulful, worldly vibes. People were moved and deeply touched by their inspirational lyrics and incredibly remarkable track spanking abilities. The mind fusion of these three musical revolutionaries will surpass all expectations and comprehensive reasoning powers. You will want to burn your entire music library after experiencing this epiphany of sound. Don't fight the feeling...catch the virus!
