ENGLISH AND PORTUGUÊS - Foxtrott was formed in 2006 in the state of Minas Gerais (Brazil). Their first appearance took place in one Brazil’s most acclaimed rock festivals, Roça’n’roll, in Minas Gerais State in may 2007, where the band supported Sepultura, playing for a cheering crowd of 6.000 rockers. On that occasion they also launched their first studio work, the single Foxtrott, with four songs, some of which are available on this page on mp3. Since then the group has taken part in several important Brazilian rock and heavy metal festivals, gathering a great number of faithful followers. The single Foxtrott has been reviewed in the major Brazilian rock magazines and websites with lots of praise. According to Carlo Antico of Roadie Crew magazine, “this band presents a very interesting musical proposal, with a mixture of 70’s hard rock, progressive and something of psychedelic rock… …The flute gives a touch of originality to the sound, reminding, obviously, names like Jethro Tull, but the ‘heavy’ is really present in songs like Brighten Up Your Day and What The Hell Have We Done?, this last one with duo vocals of Leonardo and Ceres which gave a special ‘colour’ to the song. Speaking of which, Ceres’s vocals very much remind those of Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane and Sandy Danny of Fairport Convention. Indeed, a band which deserves attention”. -------------------------------------------------------------- A banda FOXTROTT foi formada em 2006, no estado de Minas Gerais. Foi idealizada pelo guitarrista Leonardo Rapozão. As composições próprias do grupo foram apresentadas ao público pela primeira vez no Festival Roça’n’Roll de 2007 em Varginha-MG, quando também foi lançado o single da banda, contendo quatro músicas. O estilo das composições varia entre o hard rock, heavy metal contemporâneo e rock psicodélico. O grupo tem participado dos principais festivais de rock do cenário sul-mineiro e tem conquistado uma ótima repercussão do seu trabalho. A revista Roadie Crew do mês de agosto/2007 (edião 103) publicou uma excelente resenha sobre o single Foxtrott recomendando: “ Esta banda se apresentou com destaque na última edição do Festival Roça'n'Roll... o grupo apresenta uma proposta sonora muito legal, com uma mistura de Hard setentista, Progressivo e algo de psicodélico, mas sem viagens exageradas que irritam, como muitas vezes acontece nesse tipo de som... A flauta dá um toque de originalidade ao som. lembrando, obviamente, nomes como Jethro Tull, mas o peso está bem presente em músicas como 'Brighten Up Your Day' e 'What The Hell Have We done?, esta última com os vocais dobrados de Leonardo e Ceres que deram um 'colorido' todo especial à música... Realmente uma banda que merece antenção”.
