So, recently there hasn't been much action on the performance side of things but there has been alot of new material being produced by Zoya and Kaitlynn.
Falling Down:
Typical Ink tune written by Kaitlynn, so none of the rest of the band knows what this song is actually about...as per usual.
La Di Da:
A Zoya song. A branch out for us in musicality, the feel is more jazzy than what we're used to. A fun tune with dark undertones. A great song to sing along to in the shower or car or whereever you like to sing!
Instrumental song (we need a name for it):
Very metal sounding. Piece written by Kaitlynn. The drums have a slight tribal sound which makes it a great rocker.

Originating in the basement of guitarist Zoya Sirotas parents house in the quiet suburban town of Skokie IL summer 2000, Ink began as a hobby-dream. Originally a three member group consisting of Sirota on drums, Sarah Becker on bass and Kaitlynn Radtke on lead guitar and vocals, the first meeting of the three resulted in their first song, an anti-conformity anthem Mute. The band quickly began meeting regularly in the basement that was soon enough to become the home of Inks personal home recording label, INKUBATOR. Less than 6 months into the existence of the band, it was evident to the members that a second guitar was needed to express the depth that songs were gaining. Luckily for Ink, Eina Dorado was a close friend with 3 years of percussions experience. After the addition of Dorado on drums and a switch from drumsticks to guitar pics for Sirota, Ink recorded their first full-length album, Leave it all Behind, with the help of father Sirota and father Radtke in summer 2003. The band set their next goal to get out and about playing local shows such as Rock for Charity events held at local high schools, Relay for Life events in front of 100s of spectators and other random gigs at Shark Studios, Old Town school of music, and South Beach bar and grill among others.
Influenced by the early sounds of grunge and new wave of punk and alternative roaring through the airwaves in the mid to late 1990s, Ink could be seen playing numerous covers from artists such as Nirvana, Green Day and The Offspring. Further influences of classic rock and blues are present in spontaneous jams at band practice or on stage while waiting for this, that or the other.
In fall 2003, the band faced its first real complication when Dorado went off to attend college in Florida. The band then went through a series of drummers while continuing to play shows here and there. Summer 2005 brought the return of the original four members and the recording of a second album. The new album, Outlet, ranges from high-energy songs like Believe and Expectations, to the mellow hand drum and acoustic styled Dream Song, to thoughtful lyrics in Hell is Empty, Suffocated and Drowned and Forever Hurricane. It demonstrates the growth in style and talent the young band has achieved.
