Yo, We Were Into It! (And Now We're Underwater)

Posted June 29, 2006

So last night, right around 11, I left The Globe deaf in one ear, out twenty three bucks, and I'm not entirely sure, but I think I may have chipped a tooth.
What have I learned from all of this?: Latterman is fucking awesome.

I am, of course, referring to our really bitchin' show last night. We opened and did pretty damn well (at least we think so), then Yo Man Go! tore The Globe a new one with a preformance not easily forgotten. Slingshot Dakota followed and chilled things down a bit with another awesome set. Then, Latterman was up, and if you've heard them before, I need not elaborate. Outstanding.

For those of you who showed, thank you, thanks, and good on ya'! Your support was greatly appreciated. For those of you who didn't, man, you guys missed out.

Also on my mind today, what's up with floods? If you live anywhere near a river or creek on the Eastern Seaboard then you know what I'm talkin' about. Don't get me wrong, I love waiting a half hour at an alternative highway exit, and it sure is a blast to worry about friends who live on the riverfront, but seriously, what the hell? Three "hundred years floods" in three years? A passionate wag of the finger to rain for making this happen. What a sell out.

Tired, broke, and five minutes from a potential floodplain,
Sampson
