Just as food provides the body and mind with nourishment and strength to press on, music does much the same. While not exactly identical, both food and music can be used to fulfill needs, and share a few similarities in doing so. Any meal requires ingredients just as any band requires members. And simple ingredients cannot make a meal without a place where their unique flavors can come together. Lastly, a meal is nothing without an audience to enjoy the hard work. With talent and desire as their chef, the ingredients of Ola Shaw, Aaron Buechter, Seth Rhine and Ben Forman came together to marinate in Los Angeles, California and have been serving catchy rock music to avail the body and mind under the name Forever In Fall since 2002. While no members are originally from Los Angeles, California, the drive to form a band and become better musicians brought three of the original members of Forever In Fall together at the Musicians Institute (MI), located in Hollywood, Califo
nia. Ola, a sponsored surfer, left the surf and sun of Maui, Hawaii and rode the wave west to pursue his musical dreams without looking back. To this day he is called crazy for leaving a tropical island for the chaos of Los Angeles. Considered equally insane is Aaron, an outdoor enthusiast, who said good bye to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado Springs to attend MI. Seldom does a day go by where Aaron doesnt mention how bad he misses having some of the worlds finest mountain biking and snowboarding in his backyard. Then, there is Ben, who left the stimulating job of delivering pizza in a boring central coast community for Los Angeles, not such a hard decision. Together, the three musicians met at MI where their chemistry was undeniable. With their former lives behind them, Forever In Fall was put on the menu, albeit only a three course meal at this stage. Fourth members were added and kept briefly but none contributed the right spice, until Seth was introduced to the mix. A childhood friend of Forman, Seth dropped out of the University of California at Santa Barbara and moved straight to Los Angeles with literally nothing other than a minivan and equipment, both of which were immediately stolen. Since 2003, Forever In Fall has played over fifty Los Angeles shows and over dozens more up and down the coast while staying independent and graduating from MI. They have put out a couple demos to satisfy their always growing fan base, whose numbers and dedication continue to amaze. And most recently released an eight track self-funded EP titled Dont Forget which the band self-promoted with two solo, nine state, month long tours of the Western United States. Future in mind, Forever in Fall hopes to feed as many fans original and catchy rock music for many more years. After all, a meal can only satisfy the consumer before they require another, while the satisfaction from a song can last for years.
