Foretold was formed 3 years ago in Eldersburg, Maryland. In the past few months, they have had a huge fan base develop and played out a lot. At the "Eight by Ten Club"(July 2006) Foretold played to a crowd of around 150 people as FOX 45 filmed a documentary on the concert. For the first week after its release, the band's single "The Hardest Part" averaged 300 plays per day alone. To date the song has had over 10,000 plays online. We are also in rotation on several internet radio stations.
Foretolds style of music is very different from the normal music created by local Baltimore bands. It has a certain feel to it that is addicting and stands out. The guitarist has influences of Guns 'n Roses and Sevendust, while the drummer draws his influences from Tool and 311, the singer of Incubus and Disturbed, and the bassist of Deftones and Mudvayne. It is not the regular poppy punk screamo scene that you normally hear in Maryland.
