Members: Nate Gross

Welcome to the Purevoume site for Nate Gross. Nate Grew up in Oxford NY, a small town north of Binghamton NY. Influenced by blues, jazz, old school country and sounds of R&B, Nate is a melting pot of all styles. Starting guitar lesson at around 6 years old, Nate discovered a strong passion for improvisational rock. Allman Brothers, moe., phish, The Grateful Dead and others grabbed his attention. As he grew older and stopped with the lessons, nate joined his First band. GROUND ZERO. GZ was based out of Sidney NY and quickly became popular at all the honky tonks and bars in the upstate NY for they rockin blues shows. As orginals infused themselves intot eh set list they began to emerge into the jam scene and toured across the NorthEast. But College came and the band memebers went seperate ways. Nate moved to Rochester NY for 2 years to study Audio Recording. When finnished with school, he moved to Albany NY as a sound Engineer for SAVI sound. A company that worked with James Taylor, Jethro Tull, The four tops and temptations. Although this is was a great job, Nate had no time to play. So he got a job at Hartwick college directing the media Services Dept and playing in a jam band started with his younger brother. GROOVE NATION quickly hit the Jam Scene hard with their unique Horn Driven sound. Playing across the North East from NYC to Boston, they did quite well. Opening for bands like THE BREAKFAST helped the bands fan base grow. But as before, Groove Nation Broke up. Nate is now pursueing his Musical career in the NYC area.
