Out of the small, quiet town of Temple, Texas emerges a rock band that is about to take the world by storm. Fronted by Lacey Mosley, FLYLEAF is comprised of members James Culpepper on drums, Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann on guitar, and Pat Seals rounding out their sound on bass. Not just your average angry rockers, this fresh and innovative group cites influences such as Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, Nirvana and Foo Fighters. FLYLEAF is a hybrid of both the music of their influences and a sound crafted by their own personal passions. FLYLEAFS music is probably best described by Lacey herself. Our music is passionate and on purpose. Its angry and sad and urgent and loving. Its about our experiences and passions and how we have overcome. Our message is to encourage the hopeless people to have hope, and the apathetic people to stand up in their destinies and purposes and believe in something good and world changing. FLYLEAFS music is filled with pathos and optimism all in one breath. When watching this band perform, its hard to see how one could not be inspired. Since forming the band, they have played every major city in Texas and have headlined for thousands of fans in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and of course, their hometown of Temple. Theyve also opened for national acts such as Evanescence, Bowling For Soup, Riddlin Kids, and Flickerstick. Flyleaf just finished up dates with Trust Company and the Family Picnic Tour, and Saliva and Earshot! They just wrapped up a successful tour with Breaking Benjamin and are lining up tour plans for 2005.

You are a very good band, the guitars are like 'dredge' and underoath, a bit experimental and the voice like 'paramore', but i will confess that you have your own elements and style as band making you one of a kind nowadays in alternative rock 6 hours ago

I had a question for Flyleaf...are y'all still Christians or have you too like many other so called "Christian" bands sold out to the Hollywood lie? Just because I'm listening to your lyrics and Lacey you seem to be calling out to Jesus and professing Jesus but you also seem to be tortured and professing darkness in a sense...It is so sad to see good Christian bands be led away by the taste of fame and then start to compromise and change their messages to appease to the masses...And I know that doing shows with some of the most wicked bands in the world is not what God has called his people to do...He tells us not to have fellowship with the children of the night or dark.Which means being separate from them as day is from night.I know that a lot of your lyrics are from a Christian viewpoint but they aren't blatant enough for someone who has never heard the gospel or experienced salvation to understand. Your messages are a little hard to understand if you know nothing of Jesus. As a Christian we are called to be bold in our message and to not try and sugar coat it. All I'm saying is if y'all truly Love Jesus and want to do his will you should probably rethink your approach and who you support and "worship".Because do you want to be responsible for leading tons of souls to hell or to heaven? By promoting bands that have lyrics filled with drugs, hate, and rebellion you're promoting the way of Satan and his lies. But by standing by the few bands that have a gospel message and are trying to reach the thousands of lost souls out there for Jesus you are promoting the way of The Savior Jesus Christ and his promises. I know that Christian music doesn't have as many perks and there's not tons of money in it but are y'all doing this for you or Jesus? Anyways enough of my rant,I like your music and most of your lyrics but I worry for all the kids out there who don't any better. Thank You for reading, Tawna 6 days ago
