Bringing together the diverse styles of former bands Far From Home and Stars Fell On, powerful five piece rock outfit Flight To Athena is bringing a new buzz to the local music scene in San Diego. Staying true to their love of all things alternative, FTA is being compared to such heavy hitters as Taking Back Sunday and 30 Seconds To Mars. The combination of heavy guitars and fervent drums showcase bold, yet heartfelt lyrics that have long made lead vox/songwriter Brian Miller's work standout in the competitive local music scene in Southern California. Last Summer saw the release of FTA's EP, showcasing the raw talent and craftsmanship of this edgy, unafraid band. With a sound all their own, a live show to keep anyone guessing and enough songs to make any crowd rock and relate to, already having shared the stage with bands such as Strata, Kaddisfly, The Panic Division, Enter Shikari, Lower Definition, and playing the 2007 Warped Tour, it seems San Diego's newest buzz band Flight To Athena is set to soar.
