Flight 19. A group of non-specific lads raised on the underground rock scene of the last 30 years. This four-piece have all gained musical knowledge and experience from their counterparts and elders through means of other, varied intruments. Classically trained musicians from an early age, F19 formed in late 2005 and soon released a self-titled EP through the indie label - Sashimi Records. Tyas picked up a guitar first at the tender age of 7, from which has spawned an immense talent. Compitent in all the abilites of the guitar, Tyas decided that a classical instrument was his calling and so picked up the violin. Brought up in a rigorously musical family, Malcolm had little choice in what his up-bringing would include and was force-fed a diet of music of many styles and eras, the result of which pressed him to learn the most basic and futile pair of instruments a tennage boy could learn, guitar and his voice. After seeing that anybody could play the guitar, Will Richardson decided to go for the slightly, but not that much, more rare, bass guitar. 3 short years later Richardson was an extremely compitent, some might even say 'good', bassist to whom the current 3-piece F19 enrolled. Mr Lovett, along with Malcolm and Tyas, was raised on a healthy balance of classical and 80's pop music. Picking up the drums in his first year of high school, Lovett proceded to be the glue that held this otherwise clumsy ideal of a band, together. After being in many ensembles of various forms and geises, the four boys that are F19 decided that to procede in their current groups would only limit their musical potential and so after many a heated debate, they joined forces and concluded to turn their hand to pop. The outcome is the newest release 'Adolescence', out later this year, also through Sashimi Records.

"Flight 19 are Grimsby's latest up and coming band, mixing delicacy with intensity, they are something to behold. The energy of their live shows, their conviction in their music and a good repore with the crowd leads to an impressive stage show and this is beginning to show in their success.
In May this year, Flight 19 beat off stiff competition to win the CHOON competition on popular sky channel propeller tv, taking their age into account, Flight 19 are well on track to being a force to be reckoned with in the UK underground."
