ABOUT FLAT SIX

Flat Six Limited is a music company specializing in music composition/production, DJ/piano/band performance, music sourcing & education, artist management, and event production. Flat Six is also a record label based in Hong Kong. Music genres: house, progressive, chillout/down tempo, jazz, pop, rock.

Flat Six's first album 'Philia Chillout Sessions I' was released in September 2007 in celebration of Philia Bar & Lounge's first year anniversary. In October 2008, the company produced its first major DJ event featuring Kaskade (America's favorite house music dj/producer), and formed its own band Teal (http://www.myspace.com/tealmusicofficial) featuring Sherin Siew and Sam W on vocals, and Preston Lau on keyboard, programming, percussion. The company then began to offer private lessons in jazz/pop piano, music theory and composition.

LEARN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FROM FLAT SIX

Flat Six, a music company in Hong Kong, is offering private lessons in contemporary music including jazz, pop, blues, funk, rock and electronic dance music.

- PIANO PERFORMANCE (jazz, pop, blues, funk, rock)

- MUSIC THEORY & COMPOSITION (jazz music theory, learn to write your own music)

- EAR TRAINING (learn to transcribe and play music by ear)

- DJ PERFORMANCE (mixing techniques, electronic dance music: house, progressive, trance, etc.)

For all ages, hobbyists to professionals, and beginner to intermediate level students. The content of the lessons can be tailor made to suit your needs. The lessons, offered in English and Cantonese, are designed and taught by Preston Lau (www.prestonlau.net), a professional pianist, composer and DJ who holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the renowned University of Miami Frost School of Music in the USA.
