Does it take great suffering to create great art? No, but it does take great sacrifice. It is difficult to paint a masterpiece if you spend all your time in the clutches of a benign sense of comfort and denial. It does not take great pain, but it does take great experiences and it does require one to follow a unique path. To clear this path, one must struggle to tear through the weeds and suffer the darkness and apprehension of the great unknown. You must embrace and allow the great unknown to inhabit you. Then you will have an opportunity to make great art.
Flabby Hoffman is a live touring nightclub show in Chicago, featuring music of all types, comedic game shows, variety acts and an emcee...all of which is taped to gain footage for the Flabby Hoffman TV series CAN-TV Chicago Cable Channel 19 every Thursday at 11:30pm for an hour. Most importantly is perhaps Flabby Hoffman himself. The frontman for his own power trio and the last of the red hot iconoclasts, Flabby is embracing the great unknown with both arms as he works to dismantle the plastic hearted culture of sell outs and robotic sheep and bring about a social revolution where our culture is driven by those who are truly passionate and dedicated to a new resonant and dynamic humanism and those that reject complacency in the face of our gray, demented military/industrial overlords.
