Hailing from New Haven Ct, 506 is challenging the musical tastes of their surrounding community. Along with other indie rock bands in the area they are contributing to the ever- widening gap between the Latin Church and Rock Music At first it was really hard to get people to dig us because of our sound. Most of the people around us at the time had a hard time with rock music because of the stereotype it still carries among churchgoers, says keyboard player and songwriter David Rodriguez. Bass player Miguel Soler, adds, People have been surprised when they find that they like our music, despite the fact that it is a completely new sound for them. We started out as a worship band and grew from there.
