About FIRETREE:

In 2009, Sir Bong Modesto was searching for a singer to sing for Mobytoons, an animation company for mobile phones which he owned.

Blaise Lavandero, who would eventually be the one singing for the animation Mobytoons, would be producing as well. Then after a while, Sir Bong thought of making a band. He and Blaise talked and immediately found Olin Odicta, Kennard Penalba and Ace Amalejo. But there was one problem, they could not find a drummer. Soon enough, they found Jacobson Leona to fill in the spot. However, Olin Odicta had to leave the band due to his studies. Good thing they soon replaced him with Kayie Marasigan. After some time, they finally finished their first song called "Deep Breathing".

Not very long after, they experienced another obstacle. Right before they were to perform their first gig, Kennard Pennalba needed to leave the band due to some irreconciliable musical differences. Because of this, Jacobson Leona had to move up to guitars. But soon, they found a new drummer, Roubin Repetillo. After their first gig, Jacobson Leona bade farewell to the band because of his studies. Joshua Santillan was then taken in to fill in the spot. And they also took in Mark Dy as the keyboardist.
