the scars are still remaining

well folks, we're still on tour and are in TX having a well deserved day off. We were supposed to be driving today, and have today off, but unfortunately, we had to cancel yesterday's show in San Antonio because the truck carrying the sound and lights for the tour broke down, so sorry san antonio, we will make it back there as soon as possible.
right now we're in lubbock, TX at our friend Ben's house who was so kind to let us stay here for a couple of days and let us eat all his food, use his laundry detergent, and sleep in his kids' beds and make them sleep on the lawn. j/k they're in their rooms. we play here on friday night and it's a free show so if you're anywhere near lubbock, come out to the show. it's free, so you'll only need to pay for the gas to get here and all the fireflight merch you're gonna buy, which by the way, we'll be having new girl shirts, so girls...get your money ready. these shirts are rad.
on a side note, i want to apologize to the butterfly nation as yesterday on the way here, i must've massacred approximately 13251 butterflies. i dont' know if they were unhappy with their change into the most beautiful insect there is, or if they just decided to try and cross a road where traffic is traveling 70 mph to see if they could make it, but i was actually running over them with the van's tires, not just hitting them with the bumper. so again, i apologize to the butterflies. please forgive me.
back on track, dawn can officially talk again!!! she has been on vocal rest since august (meaning she can't talk unless she's on stage) because of blisters on her vocal chords. thankfully those blisters have gone down and i know it's because of all your prayers. she has been waiting for the moment she can talk again for a while now, and is very grateful for all of you and your prayers. it's great she can talk to all of you again...although it was nice having the quiet....j/k....or am i?
well today is laundry day, and i have around a week and a half of dirty laundry (most of which is really gross and sweaty) so i must attend to that. take care and we'll see you soon, especially if you're coming to any of the shows we're playing in the next week and a half.
