False Image are a five piece melodic punk band from Bolton, England. Having established themselves in 2003, their local success has continued to excel over the years, with performances in some of the UKs most recognised rock venues. Having performed in two outdoor festivals in summer 2006, the band has now enjoyed the experience of entertaining large audiences.

With a strong gig list, False Image have played in a variety of venues, entertaining audiences with their ability to adapt to whatever the gig requests. From local venues such as the Soundhouse to further a field places in Liverpool and Stockport, the band have gained extensive experience in live performance.

Their latest CD 'This Much, This Early' is their best and most significant to date. It highlights the maturity and new direction of the band but still incorporates their signature sound. Their previous two EPs 'Interfusion' and 'Friends in High Places', have sold many copies and continue to be stocked in the local X-Records store, Vibes in Bury and also in Vinyl Exchange, Manchester. This has helped to develop a strong fan base that continues to grow with the band.

The combination of virtuous vocals, intertwining guitar melodies, catchy bass lines and skilful drumming, allows the band to produce a creative unique style that compliments the emo/metal sounds heard in todays contemporary music scene. With more high calibre gigs and a summer tour planned over the next coming months, the future looks promising for False Image.

"Overall the album shows a fresh new band that gel remarkably well. Their album is one of excellence, and with bucketfuls of energy, they prove to be even better live" (onemetal.com)

"Musically they take from everything that's happened over the past 5 years with emo vocals, post hardcore guitars and song structures that defy the norm...Great things will come of False Image over the next 12 months" (Designer Magazine)

"The first time I listened to the CD from False Image, I couldnt decide if they were : thrash, emo, metal or rock, but after the first listen I decided it didnt matter" (Musa-UK)

"The lads from Bolton hit the ground running as they played a set that combined heavy riffs and soft melodic verses" (Bolton Evening News)

"Their youthful thrash has more of a metal edge to it with an occasional tendency to break into muscley Chili Peppers funkcore, even emo at times" (Manchestermusic.co.uk)
