Sincerity is a weapon to be handled with delicacy. Between indie pop and acoustic rock, FEDERAL develops both intimate and energetic songwriting, where in a split-second, emotion can travel from rage, distress, sensitivity, and then find itself intertwined with moments of hope.

Mainly armed with an acoustic guitar, Youri Zaragoza, 26 years old, alias FEDERAL, writes sophisticated pop songs, real heartfelt stories, which he uses as a discharge system, despite the naivete that is sometimes implied. It is through his lyrics, which tackle themes such as family, love and human relationships, that he touches the listener and creates unique moments.

Producer Ed Rose (The Get Up Kids, Motion City Soundtrack, Brandtson) fell for FEDERAL's music, and in 2004 he journeyed to the USA to record his debut album: since then he has travelled the roads of France, Canada and USA. Even if FEDERAL evokes the nature of projects like Bright Eyes, The Get Up Kids or Elliott Smith, his music reveals something more; a distinctive and rising talent of the French-rock music scene. Since the french release of the album last on indie record label Un Dimanche, FEDERAL is hailed as "the French answer to Dashboard Confessional and The Get Up Kids" (Rock One Magazine, France), FEDERAL's songs have won wide praise for their touching honesty and passionate delivery. He was the first european band to be featured in the AbsolutePunk's section - AbsoluteUnsigned - and opened for such great acts like My Chemical Romance, Kevin Devine, Juliana Theory, Koufax, Despistado or Last Days of April.

for my birthday it es tres superchoutte. normally i
dont like really nasal singers (like the simple plan
guy((also french))) but your music and lyrics are so
