Fate in Silence was a rock band that existed from 2005 to 2006. It started as a collaboration between Ian Hammons (Vocals, Guitar), Jon Hackett (Bass, Throat), and Chris Kinney (Drums, Vocals) after their prior groups disbanded for various reasons. Russ Lia (Guitar) was later added, and this comprised the line-up that was constant through most of FIS's existence. The band took elements of metal, post-hardcore, and rock to create dynamic songs which were complex and emotional. They rarely played live, and only wrote four songs within their short existence. However, the band acted as a springboard for their future musical careers. Ian and Jon currently play in the alternative rock group The Gentlemen's Club, while Chris currently plays in his solo project. Though this band has also technically disbanded, there is always the chance that these four talented musicians will reunite for at least a show or two.
