Far From Tellus were formed in 2005 by members from several of Oslo's most colourful and idealistic underground bands (Izakaya Heartbeat, Freeshine, Radio 9, Revolium and Laconic Zero), with a burning ambition to drown all purists in a sea of broken tambourines, and let new and unfiltered music ascend free and unchained to the surface.

The sound of Far From Tellus may be perceived as a melodic, uncompromising and energetic onslaught where elements of kraut, folk, punk, blues, bluegrass, dream pop, psychedelia and British Invasion melt together into a unique and magic hybrid.

Their self titled debut album was released September 6th, 2010 through Impeller Recordings.
