Needless to say
Needless to say It was a great holiday. We didn't accomplish as much as we wanted to recordingly speaking, but we did add another member to the band. Dave Harrison will be accompanying us on the bass/guitar/whatever. I hope that all of you had a great christmas as well. We worked Dave into our live shows and they sound alot better now. I am excited to keep playing. More updates soon.

Holidays, Album, Christmas, Shows
Happy holidays to everyone! It has been a while since we have written a post. We have been taking a break from shows for the past month or so and we've been working on our first album. It's been an interesting experience. We've rewritten and revised our songs over and over, and I think we've come up with a strong 13 song cd. We are in the midst of recording it and also finishing up with the semester of school. We aren't sure when we are going to get it finished. It takes a couple of days to finish each song and then mix them down, so hopefully we will be able to crank out a good amount of them this holiday season. Christmas is just around the corner, which means that me, Tom, Brian, and our brother Dave are in the midst of learning Christmas songs that we may possibly record. I know that during the holidays everyone is thinking about goodwill, holiday cheer, and possibly presents. If any of you are interested in getting us something for christmas. I would say that a good present would be to come out to our show in January and buy Brian a stiff drink. Sometimes he's a little bit tense and just needs some liquor. We are excited to work on the album. Expect some rock mixed with reggae, meshed with jazz, spiced with some djembe/cajon beats, alternative and blues riffs partnered with a bass that could walk for hours and a touch of the keys, fused together with some intricate drum beats and a guitar that licks like a new puppy. Keep on checking back to see more updates. (in a couple weeks)

First posting by Brian
What's going on everyone? For those of you who don't know me (which is probably most of you) my name is Brian Fisher. I'm the guy who sits behind Matt and Tom and beats on an interesting looking drum set. I have been playing music in the Kleinger's basement for 4 years now and am happy to be out playing gigs with Matt and Tom. This past weekend we ended up playing at three different places.
Friday night we went out to Milanos on 741. We have played there in the past and it's always really laid back. A lot of family and friends were able to make it out and it was a great time. As you know, we just got two new monitors and there was a scare at the beginning of the show. For some reason we couldnt get any sound to come out of them. After turning numerous dials and knobs, Tommy was able to get them up and working again. We started a little late but the show went well. Towards the end of the night, we noticed a few cop cars gathering in the parking lot. One car drove slowly past the patio and the two officers stared us down. 5 minutes later, the manager came out and told us that we had to turn it down. Apparently the people who live across the street are no fun. We played the last three songs in the middle of the crowd acoustically with the djembe (Ares, Last Dance with Mary Jane, and Blackbird.) The highlight was definitely getting the stare down from the cops. , and oh yeah, did I mention I got pulled over after the show for riding in the shoulder...long night...
Saturday evening we provided entertainment at the Fenwick marching band competition. While the judges scored the different marching bands, we played for about a half hour for a small crowd. We were originally going to play electric but decided to play acoustic because that's what we have been practicing. We incorporated Taylor Sullivan into the show and he did a great job. This was a good warm up for the big gig we had that night.
At 10:00 we played our first show at Milanos on Brown Street on UD's campus. It was amazing. It sarted off really well with a good size crowd. The sound was great and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Once it hit 12:30 the place was absolutely nuts. It was jam packed and a lot of fun. Matt's voice sounded great and he interacted with the crowd really well. Of course, Tommy was a stud on guitar and impressed everyone with his solos. He lost his cord during his behind the head solo on Hey Girl, but didn't miss a beat when he plugged it back in. This was by far the best show we have played so far. It was a good feeling to be playing in front of so many people and the reaction was great. Thanks for everyone who was able to make it out and I hope you all had fun. Out next big gig is at Milanos on Brown street at 10:00 on October 20th. Hopefully it will be as fun as the last. Hope to see you there.
Sorry if this was a long and boring blog, afterall, I'm just a drummer,
Brian

Weekend
Hey everyone, Ready for cooler weather? I am but haven't seen any yet. Tom and I had one of the more interesting weekends in a long time. We played a show wednesday night at the BW3's in Beavercreek. Why wednesday? We aren't too sure. But while we were playing, Our two main speakers busted and apparently we sounded ridiculously bad until my brother Micheal told us that what the crowd was hearing was a bunch a muffled/crackling garbage. Since we listen to what we play through our moniters, we didn't know there was a problem for the first 3 songs. Needless to say the crowd was not impressed with our style. Luckily we shut them off and turned the moniters out and redeemed ourselves.
Friday night I went out to Talawanda to see Jos (my brother Joe) play in the marching band. But it started raining midway into the first quarter so I went back to middletown to eat pizza and work on some songs.
Saturday Tom and I spent the day trying to fix our main speakers with no luck. We have to send them out to mackie to get the replaced so in the meantime we bought some extra speakers to use so that we can keep playing shows. Also Saturday night Brian came over and we recorded a live video that we are putting up on our website once we can figure out how to get it to fit.
And as for right now. I am getting ready to watch the Bengals hopefully kick some Raven butt.
For all that is orange and black

Shows, Weddings, Success
Hey all. There has been so much going on lately, we've almost forgotton to keep updating. Top news? We've played a slew of successful shows at Milanos in Dayton, and now have our foot in the door at BW3s. Other good news.... Brian sounds better than ever on the drums, we've incorporated a keyboard again, even managing to pull off "25-or-624" by Chicago with a horn section from the keyboard. It was quite amusing, actually.
I guess now would be a good time to announce, formally, our new band name which we have decided will be "Farewell Fisher". You may have noticed this change announced at recent shows. Along with the new band name, we've worked in a pretty big show on August 19th at the Mad Frog down in Cincinnati. It's an all ages show, and we're selling tickets presale. If you are interested, email us at: kleingtm@notes.udayton.edu.
That should be it for now. We just had the time of our lives being groomsmen in our sister's wedding last night. It was awesome. We played guitar at her wedding (which was cool) and DJed at the reception (which was even cooler) All in all, it was a great weekend. We now have Dave as an official brother, and Beth out of the house. Just kidding Beth.
For now, though, it's some time off. (other than some recording, of course) Hope to see everyone at our show Saturday at BW3s in Sugarcreek,
-Tom

New song posting
Hey everyone, We decided to put up another song on the website to show how recording and song writing has been going. This song is called Ares was Wrong. We did a quick acoustic take of it to give the general feel of the song. The full band version will be on the CD that we are in the process of recording. The song has Brian Fisher playing the Djembe. Brian will be doing all of the drums on the cd. For everyone that doesn't know, Brian has been in the band since we started 5 years ago. Tom and I play alot on our own, but we are looking to incorporate Brian into some of the shows. Have a great weekend and come on out to see us friday night.

New Shows!
Just when you thought your Friday and Saturday nights couldn't get any better. Tom and I have news for you. It's that time of year again. And by "that time" I mean it's time for our summer tour! For those of you not familiar with our summer tours your in good company, because we aren't too familiar with them either. We are excited to announce that we have some new shows lined up at some new locations. We start off our tour in Europe for the beginning of June until the 29th. Then we come back to Ohio for some good old fashion down home accoustic sets. Come out and grab a frosty beverage, a potato skin or two, and enjoy some great music. Our tour right now consists of Milanos and BW3's. We are looking to add Capozis and a couple Java shows. So check out our shows page and come out and see us!

Blog
Hey all,
Tom here. Just thought I'd give a couple quick updates... First of all, we've been passing the word around, but in case you haven't heard.... we recently got hired to play at two Milano's locations (UD and Springboro) and the BW3's at UD. Sweetness, right? You can come, eat actual food, drink actual beer, and NOT have to throw actual money in the tip jar, because they are all paying gigs. (though if you REALLY want to... i guess we won't decline your generous donations to all that is rock)
In addition, though I believe Matt forgot, I'm pretty sure we're hooking up with Capozzi's here in Middletown, as well.
So yeah.... live music rocks. But what happens after you leave a show? Should you dwell on the fact that you might not be able to experience such awesomeness until the next friday? Should you really have to cry yourself to sleep knowing that you can't sit with your arm around Sauers, singing into the night for another week? Our answer is no.
Which brings us to our next bit of business which is recording. As of two nights ago, it's official. There WILL be an album. By the end of the summer we should have one that ranges between 8-11 originals. (We're still finalizing the list) Kick ass, right? Now you can hear Matt's voice in your car, on a date, or even in your bedroom. Hah. Our friend Brian Fisher will be helping us with the drums, and most likely we'll be having a couple other special guests also.
So yeah... we're thinking about maybe putting up small portions of the new album on this website so you can all take part in our progress. Thanks for being awesome,
-Tom

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show at AK. We really appriciate it. It was a lot of fun to play at and we all really enjoyed hanging out and playing a rock show for once. Thanks to everyone who came out looking for an accoustic set. If you were one of these people, no need to fear, Tom and I are going to be playing alot of shows this summer. We are in the process of setting up alot of shows at different places. So check back soon!

AK PAVILION
For those of you that havent heard yet, we have a huge show tomarrow at AK Pavilion. It really is for a good cause, and it's ten bucks a ticket. It would be really awesome if you all showed up.
It's going to be a little different, too, in case you didn't know. This isn't just tom and i doing acoustic. This is rock. We're talkin, electric guitars, brian fisher playing drums, dave harrison on bass, rock. We're talking aerosmith rock. (literally, at some point) This is going to be quite different than anything we've ever done, and it'd be awesome if you are there to witness it.
the show starts at 12:00, and i believe we go on around 2:00. thanks for being awesome,
-Matt

April Weather Blows
Well today was very windy and cold, but mostly windy. So I think it is safe to say that April weather blows. Quick update on bucker and I. I have been studying alot. My school ends May 3, so I have been writing papers and studying. But inbetween the studying I have come up with a new song and couple cool sounding covers. I am excited about it...... Tom on the other hand has decided to try his chef skills and has been hired as the new kick butt chef at The Jug. Head on over and try a bucket burger. They are top of the line. He will probably be a busy guy until the end of may because of work and school, but we are planning on playing a show soon. I wanted to play this weekend, but we couldnt work it out, so hopefully next weekend. Have a great end of April!!!
