THIS IS LIKE THE LAST SCENE OF TRANSFORMERS! PLEASE DON'T LET US LOSE!
What you know, everyone?!
First of all, we want to thank everyone for your INCREDIBLE support in the Energizer contest so far. Everybody in the ATL had a blast shaking their junk in the trunk to "Whatcha Gonna Do With It," "Supersonic," and "Put Ur Hands Up!"
Unfortunately, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus snuck up on us and ended up biting us in the booties for Minneapolis during the last 30 minutes of the competition, and we REALLY don't want that to happen again...or we'll have to send our draygon friends after them!
So please, dig deep and vote for us in 3 cities where we can (and should win). Use every email address you have, make up email addresses, and vote for all 3 cities (even if you don't live there). We are currently in 1st place in Cincinnati and Indianapolis, and we have a good shot at winning in Pittsburgh. Here are the links to vote:
Cinci:

Indy:
http://eventful.com/competitions/energizer_encore_2007/indianapolis
The Burgh:
http://eventful.com/competitions/energizer_encore_2007/pittsburgh
Please pass this along to your friends, and help us win them all. Voting is supposed to end 3 days before the show, so it would help most of all if you would vote right before the end to prevent another Minneapolis mishap...or if you vote all day every day. Sometimes they extend voting a few hours, so keep doing it as long as it's running:
Cincinnati should end: 3 pm eastern on July 29
Indianapolis should end: 3 pm eastern on August 4
Pittsburgh should end: 3 pm eastern on August 5
Thanks so much for being the most incredible gangstas of all time. Let's make this a dance!

Durrty Durrty Blog 22: MA MA MIA!
Hello again!
This is Crouton coming to you from Arizona. I'm about to tell you about the past 3 days I've had. Days off, that is. We started out in California...you know, that lovely city of Los Angeles where I was last talking about plastic surgery. We all went to the beach, and I got out before everybody else did trying to check out the waves. I don't surf at all. I'll tell you one thing, though...I could surf across the stage better than any Xanadu could...and not complain about it.
So I went out there thinking I was cool. Took off my tank top. Yeah, I'm catching some rays. And then, all of a sudden, 50 mph wind hit me with sand blasts. The Santa Anas were hitting me every santa ana-way they could. It felt like 10 million sand bee bees ripping my flesh off. And normally I like the beach, and it was fun until all that sand started hitting my flesh and going into my eyes burning. And all wanted to do was go to Melrose and shop, but I couldn't because we were actually at Huntington Beach. I was hunting for Brittany Spears while out there.
So we finally got to LA and I got some of the best Mexican food that I'd had in a long time. Better than any Mexican food that Xanadu could concoct. El Compadre. Whoo, and I had to drop mis compadres in the toilet the next day, let me tell you!
After we spent a little time in LA, we hopped on the bus and started heading toward Las Vegas, NV. Woo hoo! And on the way, Tux, our bus driver, had to pull over because the wind was so strong it felt like our bus was going to flip. So we hung out at this really cool bus stop for awhile.
After the winds subsided a little, we headed to Las Vegas. My mom came out to see us, and it was cool to see my mom. Soul Glow Activatur and his wife and Cash had this great idea to get a hotel room at Mandalay Bay...and Mom got one too. For some reason, something happened to their first room, and they were upgraded to a 1,000 foot suite for the same price! Totally the bomb. So I called my mom when I woke up and asked, "Hey, where are you?" She was like, "Yo, I'm in this pimp hotel." So I was like, "I'm there, dude."
So I got up there and it was one of those rooms where you could push buttons and the curtains would open. Real Star Trek-ky. It was awesome!
So that was one of the highlights in Las Vegas, because partially, Crouton doesn't really like Las Vegas. I love the peeps there, but I don't like Las Vegas as a whole. It's too overkill. All the ringing bells, lights, and buffets. So, another one of my highlights was Tofu Pup taking me to Mama Mia. Whew! Ma-ma-Mia! There are only so many times you can hear "Dancing Queen." Don't get me wrong, I like disco, but 2.5 hours of Abba=MA MA MIA!
But it was really awesome for Tofu Pup to take me to a show. Got me away from all the bells and whistles.
So after all this, I needed some time alone. Because Vegas time is a long time. I felt like I was there for a whole week, and I was only there for about 24 hours. So I walked myself to a movie theater, bought a ticket, and watched a movie by myself. And had a coke slurpee. So my 3 days off ended up being awesome. Now, if I could only get Xanadu off my back hassling me about getting all my clothes out of the aisle of the bus.
Wuv,
Cwouton

Durrty Durrty Blog 21: Durrty Hairry Blog
What it is, everybody? This is Chap Stique I'm writing to you at 3:08 in the morn,' California (Pacific) time. In other words, that means it's 6:08 a.m. on my body's clock (ATL)...and I haven't been to sleep yet! What the crap? That's what the road does to you, I guess.
But the good news about being up this late is that I just took a refreshing shower, so my sandy locks have finally received a much-needed cleansing. Having a bus rules, but the only negative thing about it (I'm not one to complain about transitioning from a van to a bus) is that we only get the opportunity to bathe at night rather in the morning. Thus, I awake every morning to see unintentional fo-hawks, not-quite vertical spikes, and awkward cowlicks leaping off my head. I usually look like a little kid that's too old to have his mother comb his hair, but not old enough to make his hair look acceptable without plenty of aid.
Fortunately, I have the privilege of traveling with Crouton, who graciously uses his coifing expertise to mold my pathetic-looking mop into an angular, anime-inspired hairstyle that looks pretty rock and roll if I may say so myself (is it boasting if you think your hair looks good...but somebody else styled it?). For those of you that don't know, he apprenticed at a salon for years before Family Force 5 became full-time project, and he still has the magic.
However, a new element was added to the mix last week when I looked in the mirror 10 minutes before our show and saw my pathetic excuse for a hairstyle. Crouton was nowhere to be found, but Lollipop (Soul Glow's wife) offered to lend a hand (or, for that matter, some product-saturated fingers), and ended up making my hair look pretty radical. I don't normally use the word radical, but I thought this situation warranted using it. Feeling like a member of Flock of Seagulls, I pranced around the stage with slightly more confidence than usual as my hair threatened to poke people in the eye.
After a few more days of "My name is Jon Bon Jovi and I'm rocking arena's in the '80's" hair, I had a revelation...I'd studied and admired Crouton and Lollipop's technique (though they differ slightly...Lollipop teases and Crouton ruffles) enough to try it on my own. I'm no Van Michael, but I'm not gonna lie: I can get my 'do looking pretty coo!' *Note: I am referring to show-hair, which is tremendously different from every-day-hair...I have always been able to do that myself.
I think Crouton was jealous of the fact that I let Lollipop do my hair, but hey, sometimes you need to look like a member of Cinderella.
Being the frugally cost-efficient nerd that I am, I once went to Great Clips in an effort to save some dough, and ended up realizing I would have been better off cutting my own hair with a lawn mower. I had a hair style similar to my current one (but with my natural color), and simply asked for a trim. Her cigarette-stained hands went to work chopping with tremendous haste, and in a matter of seconds, my hair was shaped like a cheap cereal bowl that hadn't been appropriately drained.
The second I stepped inside my house, my mom (Wolfhat) started cracking up at how bad I looked, and insisted that I go to a nice salon to have it corrected! That's when you know you've hit rock bottom...when your mom makes fun of you.
I ended up looking like a page-boy fool for the next month, but found it much easier than normal to get people to laugh at my jokes.
I hope I never go bald. My ears are too big for that, and I think I have a mole on my head that would look weird.
Goodnight, y'uns. Wash your hair and style it like a champion.

Durrty Durrty blog with Tub-O!!!!! (blog no. 20)
I know what you guys are thinking...
FINALLY Tub-O is making another blog!
well probally not.
but either way...
Tub-O's here,
So I guess this blog isn't so durty durty, come to think of it, why does Family Force 5 like to repeat their titles so much?
Durty Durrty, Really Real, Dance Rawr Dance, etc etc.
If you come to the next show you might see a sweet bike locked up outside the venue, oh yea, that's mine. I have been able to ride around with that 26 inch rimmed heart-breaker. I have been seeing all your awesome cities and towns, it's been great. Because of my new bike I have newly washed pants that are soaked in Reno splashed water.
I will explain....
We played a show in Las Vegas which I like to call Chuck e. Cheese for adults, but I am sure I am not the first or only one that calls it that. And for some reason the factory inner tubes that come with the bike are really cheap and just ripped in half in Vegas.
So today was our day off/laundry day, which makes this blog less durty. laundry day for us is pretty much all ten of us loading out the bus (I was trying to say pile-ing, but Xanadu, Fatty and I took 10 minutes trying to find out how to spell pile in present tense, so I just used 'loading'). We all get our suitcases and parade all the way to the closest laundry mat, if you are having a hard time picturing this, it looks a lot like the boxcar children or something of the sorts.
While my clothes were drying I walked a mile to the nearest bike shop for a new inner tube.I rode around Reno, Nevada thinking reno was in California, I rode for about 4 hours up and down with my newly washed outfit. For me I like to put on my favorite jeans, favorite shirt, favorite undies, and favorite socks when all my clothes are washed. I actually just told Chap-stique how much I love having my favorites jeans back after them being un wearable for 2 weeks. Because of me wearing my favorite outfit I had a lot of confidence, the confidence one would have when they dress up nice for a job interview. I misused that confidence to cross a stream, with a bike.
With that confidence one might feel strong enough to lift things that will hurt his back, or to talk to a girl that is out of his league. Also with this confidence you might think a log is steady instead of a floating one.
Long story short...
the log was floating and the water was cold.
do I have regrets?
no way.
good memories.
Well sorry for boring you this long, I think I am even boring myself with this thing.
Thanks for everyone that read this, watches the really real shows, comes to our shows, buys our CD's, because of you we have a bus and I'm sitting here drying off and sitting comfortably writing this.
We really appreciate it!
your friend,
-Tub-O

danceRAWRdance TOUR + durrtty durrty diapurrrsss with Soul Glow
Man, I have been up since 12am taking care of my 1 month old son, CA$H! He is amazing. I'm kinda tired but its worth it cause he is the most amazing thing that I have ever experienced. I'll sleep on the bus couch and he sleeps next to me in the front lounge. My wife takes care of him during the day when we are setting up. Having my family on the road with me is something so new and awesome. Everyone I talk to after the shows asks how he is and I just say that CA$H is pooping right now. Giving him a bath in the sink is hilarious cause he pees all over everything. This guy is soooo much better than a dog.hahaha.
The DANCE RAWR DANCE tour is amazing so far. This tour that we picked out is going better than any one else we have played with in the past cause everyone comes ready to dance and party from the get go. The Secret Handshake blows me away every night. It's so fresh to see something new and different these days. Jonezetta rules. We have loved them for three years and they are the best they have ever been now. It's solid dance rock that burns up the tiles on the floor.
The crowds have been nuts!! There has been zero security and we prolly need it cause things are getting out of hand every night. People falling all over each other and every night is a sweat-drenched-ear-splitting-dance floor. People have rushed and jumped on the stage and are trying to rip our clothes these days. We have an amazing remix of LOVE ADDICT that we play after we get off the stage that keeps the party going.
Anyway, I love all of you and sorry it has been so long since my Durrty Durrty entry!! I have been up to my ears in diapurrrrrrsss!
