Fallaway

Fallaway formed in January 2002, as it was exactly clear which musical style they wanted to pursue – Rock with emotional and soulful feeling in their lyrics. The band call it New Rock or Emo Rock.
The band members are: Patrick Zehles – Vocals, Rainer Zehles – Guitar, Stefan Wolharn – Drums, Oliver Liebich – Bass and Kristof Janssen – DJ & Samples.

In November 2003, they even became third after performing at an offspring festival in Bielefeld, yet it was not the best that had happened this night, they got word from the promoter of Dog Eat Dog the well known Rock band. Fallaway were invited to join the pros on their next tour in Germany, Belgium and Holland. They accepted and gathered know-how and more so tricks that the band presented to them. The tour was very satisfactory – the viewers grabbed the promo CDs that the guys prepared for the tour after every gig. Fallaway became friends with Dog Eat Dog and many different people they have met underway. They stepped forward on the way to their dream of „Music Making".

Early in the year 2004, a very successful producer (Claus Grabke – Thumb, Alternative Allstars) offered the band to record a new track in his studio. He helped them to make the song as perfect as possible – it was the excellent tune: „Smell of Changes".
Finally they had good enough material to release the first EP. They put „Smell of Changes" and three other songs plus three live recordings on an MCD and sold it more than 500 times without label or promotion since the release date in April 2004.
