Hey whats up guys we are FAKE is. the. latest. trend. from Muncie, Indiana. FAKE is. the. latest. trend. all started with three guys, Jordan Sherfy, Andrew Phipps, and Tyler Henderson playing in Tyler's barn in the middle of winter with no heat. Thanks to Jim (tyler's dad) for letting us practice there. FAKE was thought as by the guys to be the next big thing out of Cowan, following Dreams of University. The trio practiced hard but had nothing to show for it because they didn't have a singer. They auditioned many singers but none seem to fit the bands style. The three didn't care, they were just happy to be playing. They picked up guitarist Tyler Crabtree, to fill the sound missing in the music. But no luck with a singer yet. Or so we all thought. Some people in the band felt the band wasn't going to work. A few months into the production of the band lead guitarist, Andrew, felt that the band was not going to work with him. Jordan, Tyler H, and Tyler C thought differently though. they had a good feeling about what this band could do with there innovation and originality. they pressed on and eventually found their singer in Todd Swain. Todd played in an older band with Jordan. Jordan told the band that he knew this guy with a tremendous vocal ability and poise. Thats how Todd became the frontman of FAKE. After a few months Todd found a lead guitarist in Will Avery and asked him to join. The band soon realized that Will wasn't right for the band and soon parted ways with him. Only two of the orignal members were still present, but with Tyler C and Todd it felt so right. The band was making real headway with their music and getting a name for themselves. FAKE played in the All Ages Show in Indianapolis, IN with such names as Bless The Fall, Bedlight For Blueeyes, and Dreams of University. The band is still present and looking for gigs to play.
