A group of Jersey Shore hard rockers formed as an outlet for frustration with the current music scene, and personal disenfranchisement. Failsafe was started in the summer of 06 with members Percy Rae born in Basildon, England (vocals), Joe Ross (on the Fender Strat), Jonny Gobal (on the Fender Bass), Steve Briel (Les Paul), and Mike Rainone ( on the Drums). Other bands play what they think sounds good, while we play what we feel sounds good. Take all the rock albums released in 1991 put them together, mixed with our own emotional turmoil and you have FAILSAFE. We have been a band for 5 months and played out at The Birghton Bar, Stone Pony, and Club Deep. Coming up December 17th we will be playing at Chubbys in Red Bank and on January 13th we will be playing at STarland Ballroom.

While digging through loads of recently submitted Jersey Rock wanna-bees I came across a package from the band Fail-Safe. The package was actually rather bare bones. Not much to look at really. Not even a true bio of the band. That can sometimes be the death knell for bands hoping to get on the air for Jersey Rock. It almost always is,in fact! However,this package made me take another look for one reason alone. The line-"....a group of Jersey Shore hard rockers formed as an outlet for frustration with the current music scene,and personal disenfranchisement." The line caught my eye because there is always room for a little disenfranchisement in rock and roll,right?! Right! These guys are pissed! Pissed works for me! So without anymore hesitation I slapped that puppy into the trusty ol' CD Player #3 here at the Jersey Rock Studios and was happy with what I heard. The anger in their package did not really convey it's way on the disk,but that was fine by me. They have put together a pretty strong introductory EP here,and I found myself trying to decide where I had heard these sounds from before. I still can't quite pin them down,but I dig what they have put together here,and I hope to hear more from these guys in the future. The future is now this week on Jersey Rock as we bust the radio cherry of Fail-Safe this week on Jersey Rock!
