Heavy-ass breakdowns, soaring vocal lines, frenetic rhythms, thumping basslines, all out gang chanting and sizzling guitars... These make FAILING FORWARD, one of the latest additions to the Cape Town band scene at the southern most tip of Africa!

After years of being involved in different bands and projects, the four current members of Durbanville based FAILING FORWARD got together to form a new band. They poured all their knowledge, all their experience and whole lot of musical influence into something that was new and fresh, that would appeal to music lovers all over. It was to be a breath of fresh air to the then stale scene, a band to hear the silent screams of the voiceless who wandered aimlessly, searching for music to like again, music to love again.

FAILING FORWARD is busy at work on playing everywhere they can, whenever they can and to whoever wants to hear them. They pride themselves on having an awesome and energetic live set and always seem to be having the best time of their lives on stage while throwing their guitars (as well as themselves) all over the place. Their music is a clever mixture of punk, hardcore and good old rock 'n roll, beautifully melodic at times and unforgivingly heavy at other times (picture a boxing match between AFI and HE IS LEGEND).

Now two years down the line, the release of a 5 track self-titled EP, sponsorship deals from Pretoria based distro label SILENT SCREAMS and Cape Town skate brand MISCHIF SKATEBOARDS, a brand new single and a tour to Johannesburg and Pretoria, FAILING FORWARD are ready to set fires in the hearts of as many people as possible. The band feels confident about where they are at the moment, blaming their enthusiasm on passion, ambition, confidence and the need to rock out.
