Face The King is an independent alternative hard rock band based out of New York that has redefined the New York rock scene with their arena size sound, both live and on record. In the four years that Face The King has been together, they have compiled a list of support from sponsors Ernie Ball, VOX, Blackstar, Aguilar, Korg, Lag Guitars, Spector, Pigtronix, Behringer, SIT Strings, Source Audio, In Tune Guitar Picks, Aguilar, Visual Sound and DBZ Guitars. These high-powered sponsors enabled Face The King to fly across the country to play for NAMM 2012 & 2013 in front of the entire music industry.
Face The King is Eric Zirlinger (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Dan DelVecchio (lead guitar, keyboards, backup vocals), Joey Dammacco (bass, synth, backup vocals), and Randy Palumbo (drums, percussion). Their second EP, âThe Burning & The Falling Down,â produced by Steve Haigler (Brand New, The Pixies, Fuel) has received critical praise and glowing reviews in print, on the web, and local/out of state radio and by the beginning of 2013, Face The King was proudly pronounced the "Best Band of Long Island," by the Long Island Press Magazine. Their additional success with the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands has also put them on the map, making them three time winners - with their first appearances at the Rockstar UPROAR Festival and Vans Warped Tour during the summer of 2012 (w/Staind, Shinedown, Godsmack, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Juliet Simms, & more), and a second Vans Warped Tour appearance during the summer of 2013 for their hometown crowd at Nassau Coliseum. Most recently, they have been selected by Ernie Ball as one of the Top 4 finalists out of over 20,000 competitors nationwide to compete for the grand prize in Los Angeles, California.
With their newly released preview EP, "THE SOUND," already receiving high praise in anticipation for their full length album, Face The King is touring the New York tri-state area - recently with a packed headlining show at Gramercy Theatre as well as a major anti-bullying campaign set in motion. The new EP has been said to bring Face The King's music to new heights, giving a more clearly defined vision of what they're all about - encouraging listeners to 'listen to their heart,' and uniting people of all different walks of life through the power of music.
Believing that the live show is an experience that is shared between the band and the audience, Face The King is earning a reputation as a band you need to experience live. Face The King is not waiting for a label to hand them a deal â they are earning it the way it was meant to be earned: by hitting the road and making new fans.
