Nobody can argue the point that playing live shows with a band infront of an audience (no matter the number of ppl watching, or the songs you're playing) is an adrenaline rush - some argue its even better than sex. But it is nothing compared to getting up there all by yourself, with the spotlight shining ever so bright (that you feel it's about to set fire to the shirt your wearing), and facing the music by playing all on your own - yes, solo. Having complete responsibilty and control over the tempo, arrangement, and sound of a song being played, is liberating.

"Faceless Man" is a result of one man's insatiable appetite for writing, composing, and singing. Following in the foot-steps of Trent Reznor, Chris Cornell, and Wes Borland (to name a few), Faceless Man is (like his idols) quite literally, a one-man-band consisting of it's main source of creative spark, Hani Malik. Whether it were drums, guitars, vocals, or drums/vocals (like in one previous band he played in), Hani has all the parts of what forms a band, filled in.

You'll hear people telling you "Music is my life" or "It's in my blood" or "I breathe music".. well.. ultrasound images from early 1985 will show my fetal self playing air-guitar whilst in my mother's womb (beat that!).

Obviously, as the lone member, so far this is pretty much a recording-studio band (i.e. my laptop) and there are no live shows to be played (unless I get a couple of good friends to fill in the other spots for a performance) - like Good Ol' Talal: my high-school buddy/fellow ex-band member/well-renowned musician (a.k.a. T.J.)

I'm just one step away from growing extra limbs to be able to play the different instruments, simultaneously. It is inevitable.
