Studio Diary - Part 3
blog post
Hii-dy ho!
So, the sunday just passed (11th November) was our last day tracking the album. 'Marky Dubs' will now take it away and spend a good fortnight or so mixing that bad-boy and making it sound even more massive... we've recorded 11 tracks in total and details on what those are, as well as release info, artwork and all that jazz will be revealed soon...
What we can say however, is that the title of the album will be........
'Remember The Day' and that its roughly scheduled for a march/april release!

Now, you've heard the drum talk.. time for the guitar speak..
Firstly the bass was tracked by micing an Ampeg cab with James' Ashdown combo acting as a head. A second line was taking directly from a Sans-Amp into the computer...
Joe and Stu used a combination of Peavey heads (6505, 5150II, JSX) for the heavy tones through Orange and Peavey cabs together. They used these and also Marshall and Sunn heads for the clean tones. They both played ESP guitars with EMG pickups, aswell as Gibsons here and there for softer parts. A special mention should also go to the custom Jagermeister Exit Ten plectrums which served us well ;)
All in all we're very happy with how its all going and cant wait for you all to hear it! We still expect to shoot a video very soon so you're bound to hear something from the album before too long :)
We do apologise for being a bit rubbish on the video diary front.. What can we say other than.. well.. we were busy alright?... We have got some cool footage though and we're gonna put it all together for one big behind the scenes video in the coming weeks!
Much love
The boys x
