Welcome!
I make music in my free time.
That's about it.
Stories behind the songs:
Isaiah 41 (I Will Not Fear)
I co-wrote this song with Shayna off and on during Fall 2010. We aren't the most productive team in the sense of time, we loved this chapter of Isaiah and how it's spoken to us, and really wanted to write a song about it. And this was the result: some impromptu recording in a limited amount of time after spending plenty of length writing. It's a song about God never leaving us or forsaking us. We hope the lyrics will speak the most. :)
Can't Live Without You
I wrote this song (unfortunately) in the library during November 2009. God strikes you at places when you least expect Him to, and I really felt these lyrics come from outside of myself. Lyrics are hard for me to come by these days, unless they are of God.
When I wrote the song, I was in the middle of my fall semester of my 3rd year of college, which was by far the hardest one I've yet endured. I was utterly spent during all the studying, working, organizing and researching, with no breaks to the onslaught of work. Eventually I came to the point where I realized that I couldn't simply do it on my own anymore. I simply needed God to be my strength and providence. In my darkest hour, He gave me strength, and I know He can be the strength of your life if you let Him. Blessings!
Take My Will (Live Demo)
Wow, first recording in ages...I wrote this song during Wintervision 2008, during one of my quiet times. Thought I'd record a rough version of it, hopefully I'll be able to make a cleaner one someday later in life!
The List
Okay, this is not a serious song whatsoever. Don't take this one seriously AT ALL, because Josh is an awesome guy who's got an awesome heart for God...although truth be told, he has a history behind him that precedes him hahah. It was made for my friend Josh, and written with the help of my friend Chris (who is playing guitar in the track). Basically we were at DCLA 2006, making a list of all of Josh's former crushes and/or infatuations over the past several years. The real list had 59-ish names, but we decided to spare you guys and only included 35 in the song. And, uh, this is what came of that concept. Enjoy.
