My name's Evan Nachimson and i'm 16 years old. I started writing music right when I began playing guitar...about three years ago. I write music for the joy it will bring to others and the comfort it brings me. When i was 13 my sister was sent away for a year to a rehabilitation program across the country in Utah (im in Maryland). She was my best friend before she started high school. During her troubled years in high school my parents obviously tried to do everything they could to help her and I think as a result I was forced to figure things out by myself because they wouldn't tell me anything. It made me grow as a person. It made me stronger. It made me...me. I found music through this experience, and I finally found my niche at age 13 and something I could turn to whenever, if ever i needed to. Songwriting is my passion. I want to spend the rest of my life performing and writing music. It calms my soul like nothing else. I am so lucky, and fortunate that I've found what I want to do in life so early on. I promise you I won't stop writing and performing. I promise you I won't give up. I believe in this. I hope you'll listen to my music and enjoy it, and I hope it will bring a new light into your life, like it does for me. This is for you. This is for me. This is for the both of us. =) believe.

I have successfully completed Berklee College of Music's 2008 Five week summer performance program. And was one of the winners for its' Performing Songwriters Contest!! =)
I will be leaving my junior year in high school early (around May 20th) to complete my first semester at Berklee College of Music for the whole summer. I will make it a priority to book shows in the Boston area when I am away from home!
