What started as an acoustic side project formed by John Box in 2006 has now become a fully lined up band with an intent to create music and deliver a message that reaches to a broken generation. While discussing topics such as depression, suicide and addiction Big Empty Box also informs that you are not alone; there is always a way out of your troubled situations. Although hitting some rough topics of everyday life, the songs also offer hope and a desperate need for God. This band would not exist if it wasn't for the love of Christ and it's the constant drive that makes this possible.

We don't want to shove what we believe down your throat, you get enough of that from religious people and everyone else in society. We have something to say and you can either reject the fact or embrace it; it's all up to you. We don't want to be just another "Christian" band, talking about Jesus because that's what everyone expects to hear from a band like this. We'd prefer not to label it "Christian" but we know it will happen so it's okay. We say what we have to say and whether it fits in with religion or not, it's what we believe. Not everything we say is going to be Christian accepted; we discuss subjects that others would ignore but you can't deny what it is...Truth.
