So lets face it: music is lifes heartbeat, you cant live without it. Thats probably why Euphamous even exists; if it werent the fact that band members, Sonora and Zach LOVE to play music, then they most likely would have ended up as trans-Siberian civil rights grassroots activists. Or something along those lines.
Dont get us wrong: they're still quirky. Zach sits at his piano with his elbow rested on one knee playing whatever comes to mind while Sonora cant seem to decide whether she'd like to sit or walk around the room while writing lyrics. With these two creative minds, it doesnt seem like theyd get much done, much less write any form of lyrics or compose impressively creative music. Zach and Sonora apparently dont agree and their music shows it.
About us...Sonora has sang since she was a wee little lass and written music nearly that long. Zach has played the piano since before he left the womb (dont try to figure that one out), but he only began song writing after he quit concert piano a year ago. Euphamous was born in the summer of 07 when Zach and Sonora met at a party. Zach sat down in a corner and absentmindedly began playing Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. Sonora, who was sitting close by, stood up and started singing the words to the song. To say that Sonoras face melting vocals amazed Zach or that Zachs musical shredding impressed Sonora would be an understatement.
In December 07, Euphamous performed live at Mira Costa College and also recorded a demo Christmas EP*. They are currently working on writing a full-length album and will keep you updated on that and on any upcoming Euphamous concerts.
